OpenStack – you can’t innovate on retreads

"OpenStack isn’t an alternative cloud product or infrastructure with a lower TCO to proprietary solutions, it’s about adopting a new delivery model for IT. OpenStack is innovation, enabling companies to build operational capabilities and technology models that don’t exist today through technology and cultural pragmatism," says Aptira’s David Napier, technical business development manager.

Red Hat CEO Optimistic on OpenStack Revenue Opportunity

"We expect the growing adoption of these technologies, like Middleware, the RHEL OpenStack platform, OpenShift, cloud management and storage, to continue to drive revenue growth," Red Hat CFO Frank Calderoni told Sean Michael Kerner.
