The training will be offered at two events in addition to the Sydney Summit.

The OpenStack Upstream Institute (OUI) provides an easy path to contribution to people new to the community. Unfortunately, many newcomers miss out on this opportunity because they can’t make it to the training when it’s typically held prior to the Summits.

I’m pleased to announce that this fall, in an effort to provide more opportunities to newcomers, OUI will be held twice in addition to the full two-day training in Sydney — once as a one-day training in parallel to OpenStack Days UK and once as a one-day training before OSD Nordics. And if you’re planning an OpenStack Day event and want to include OpenStack Upstream Institute at your event, please reach out! Email me at knelsonATopenstack.org

If you aren’t able to attend the training in Sydney, we invite you to attend one of the upcoming OpenStack Days events in Europe. Registration is still open for both events.

OpenStack Days UK

OpenStack Days UK is being hosted in London, England on September 26. The event will take place at the 155 Bishopsgate building. We will have space for 30 people interested in learning how to start contributing to OpenStack.

OpenStack Days Nordics

OpenStack Days Nordics is being hosted in Copenhagen, Denmark at the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Center. The actual OpenStack Upstream Institute will run on October 18 along with a variety of other trainings, the day before the regular keynotes and sessions. There’s space for 50 students.

Hope to see you there!
